Release Train Engineer (RTE)
Experience – 2-3 years of minimum full-time RTE experience
Location – Remote in the UK with Austrian Time Zone
Experience & Skills
- Need to be Safe certified
- 2+ years experience working in a scaled Agile environment as an RTE Product Manager or Agile Coach with a minimum of 5 teams.
- And/or 4+ years experience leading Agile teams as Scrum Master or Product Owner
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Superior communication skills with all levels of employees both internal and external customers-including presentations negotiations and written reports and be as detailed as needed.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a systems view on the strategic direction
- Willingness and ability to get down in the details “to make things happen”
- Demonstrated ability to work successfully with demanding schedule constraints and technically challenging programs
- Manage and optimize the flow of value through the ART and solution train using various tools, such as Program and Solution Kanbans and other information radiators.
- Establish and communicate the annual calendars for iterations and program increments.
- Facilitate PI (Program Increment) Planning Event and PI Planning readiness by fostering a continuous explorations process that drives the synthesis of a vision, a roadmap, and backlogs, and through pre-and post-PI planning meetings.
- Summary team PI objectives into program PI objectives and publish items for visibility and transparency.
- Facilitate periodic synchronization meetings, including the ART sync at the Program level and the value stream synch for solution trains.
- Assist with economic decision-making by facilitating feature and capability estimation by teams and the roll-up to Epics, where necessary.
- Coach leaders, teams, and scrum masters in Lean-Agile practices and mindsets.
- Escalate and track impediments
- Provide input on resourcing to address critical bottlenecks.
- Encourage collaboration between teams and system and solution architects/engineering
- Work with production and solution management, product owners, and other stakeholders to help ensure strategy and execution alignment
- Improve the flow of value through value streams by improving and assessing the DevOps and Release on Demand competency
- Work with the Agile Program Management Office (APMO) on program execution and operational excellence
- Facilitate system demos and solution demos
- Drive relentless improvement via inspect and adapt workshops; assess the agility level of the ART and Solution Train and help them improve
- Create an environment of mutual influence
- Encourage and support the personal development of each individual and the development of teams and support the teams’ commitments
Scrum Master – Remote Support
Outside IR35 role
Location: Remote
Experience: 5 years+
